Preparation and Delivery of Sermons

This is the foundational course in the special Christ-Centered Preaching series, introducing the principles for expository preaching, the standard structures that enable sermons to be faithful to Scripture, and the methods that engage listeners with the power of the Gospel in every portion of Scripture.

This is the best course to start you down the road of learning to preach or refreshing your thoughts on principles and methods that best communicate God’s Word.

This material is always available online, but twice a year we offer the opportunity for students to have personal interaction with Dr. Chapell, and the option of getting seminary credit, if desired.

Redemptive Theology and Application

This is the second course in the Christ-Centered Preaching series that goes to the heart of Dr. Chapell’s lifelong goal of helping preachers see how the grace of the gospel that culminates in the work of Christ pervades the entirety of Scripture.

The goal is not merely to learn proper interpretation, but to see how the grace of our Lord powerfully motivates and enables Christian living. Here we learn of the grace in all of Scripture for Christ in all of life.
